Photodamage, also known as hyperpigmentation and sunspots, are a result of years of sun and/or ultraviolet exposure. The signs of aging is not just volume loss, but pigmentation changes, coarse texture, redness, enlarged pores, broken capillaries, and of course wrinkles. A Photofacial is an intense pulsed light (IPL), which penetrates through your skin and heats the surface layers. Immediately after treatment, your hyperpigmentation will start to darken, with the appearance of coffee grounds. Over the course of a week to two weeks (depending on which area of the body is being treated), the spots will and begin to slough off. This is literally your hyperpigmentation coming to the surface.
A series of Photofacial treatments are recommended, as there are several layers to the skin, and your sun damage is at different levels. Nurse Nataly will be able to gauge how many treatments you will need.

The Science: Spider Veins on nose, chin, and cheeks
These small spider veins are usually caused by the natural aging process of the skin, sun damage, trauma to that site, certain skin disorders such as rosacea, or just your genetics (your skin destiny!). The veins can be fine-the diameter of a hair shaft. Or larger and more blue, like a piece of thread.
